As a rendering specialist with TK Design & Associates Swathy's expertise is in digitally creating not just the bones of a home, but also the fine details which make a home come alive on a computer screen. A builder or prospective homeowner can actually walk-through the 3-D models of homes Swathy creates, swapping out design ideas and materials with the end-goal of making each home a unique and optimally functioning dream home. She's also pretty talented at creating hand drawn detailed sketches and assisting in designing floor plan layouts.
Swathy joined TK Design in November 2020, having previously worked as an assistant civil engineer for a large architectural design firm, Building Concepts, based in Kollam, India. Building Concepts has complete almost 3,000 commercial and residential projects since its founding in 1999 and is driven by the tenet that architecture is a fusion of Art and Science. The firm has a diverse client base from banking and educational institutions, to resort hotels, to clinics and hospitals, to places of worship, residential villas and high rise apartments. Swathy designed and detailed both residential and commercial spaces for the company, developing site plans, detailed architectural working drawings and design layouts, electrical design layouts, landscape designs, and even fire protection and waste management systems.
In addition to having achieved a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University in India, Swathy is skilled in a variety of design and application software including AutoCAD, Revit Architecture and Autodesk Building Estimation and Costing, and she is highly proficient in 3D rendering software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max Lumion 10 and Adobe Photoshop. She derives great satisfaction from a client saying two simple words -- "that's it!" -- as they see their vision come to life in her renderings.
