Renato Flores-Solorio
Renato Flores-Solorio has always had a keen interest in building, which is rooted in his passion for using his mechanical and technical aptitude to envision, create, and manage projects through to completion. Renato joined the team at TK Design & Associates in January 2021 and currently serves as a project manager. While pursuing his Associate degree in Architecture Technology from Lansing Community College, Renato worked at Testek Solutions, Inc.  Testek designs large scale testing facilities for the aerospace industry and designs and builds aerospace testing equipment for aircraft components At Testek, Renato worked with engineers and mechanics to assemble those test units. He also put himself through college by working first as an assembler at Lowe's, ensuring that products were assembled correctly and that customer orders were shipped on time. Renato was then promoted to a position as a Lowe's Pro Services Associate and Lumber Associate, which provided him with a thorough knowledge of building products, as well as the challenges faced by both commercial and residential building contractors. After receiving his Associates in Architecture Technology in 2017, Renato was accepted into the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The program is designed to prepare students to perceive the ordered relationship of people and their environment and to translate this order into design for the enrichment of human experience. Renato graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from U of M in May 2019. In addition to being bi-lingual in both English and Spanish, Renato is also skilled in many design and project management software programs including AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhinoceros 3D CAD software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
