Mitchell Maxwell’s ambition and talent for leadership was apparent at an early age. As an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America Mitchell took on the challenge of coaching a First Robotics LEGO team made up of 9 to 14 year-old homeschooled students. The team earned second place in the Research and Presentation area of the competition. As the team’s coach, Mitchell drew on his own robotics team experiences as a World Championship Finalist team in 2008 and a World Championship winning team in 2009 and 2010.
Upon graduation from Milford High School, Mitchell set off on a two year mission as a church volunteer in Vina Del Mar, Chile. While in Chile, Mitchell honed his Spanish language skills. He later earned a certificate in Spanish from the University of Detroit Mercy and has the ability to speak, read and write in the language.
Once he returned to the states, Mitchell attended Oakland Community College and earned not one, but four, degrees while working. He holds Associate of Science degrees in Architecture, Arts, Technological Sciences and General Studies. After graduation Mitchell worked at Allchoice Insurance, Inc. in Wixom where he was a Customer Service Representative. Allchoice is an independent insurance agency specializing in life, health, property and casualty insurance solutions.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2021where he interned as a CAD drafter at RGIS in Auburn Hills, Michigan for several months prior to graduation. RGIS is a global provider of inventory management, supply chain and merchandising services for various industries.
In addition to hand drafting and physical modeling skills, Mitchell is proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, DIALux lighting design software and other design software. Since graduating with his BS in Architecture, Mitchell has attended the University of Detroit Mercy, pursuing a Master of Science in Architecture, graduation in May 2023 and has joined TK Design & Associates as an architectural drafter.
