Juliana Yamazaki is confident in her training and experience and in her ability to use those assets to successfully complete challenging projects. A civil engineering graduate of Universidade de Taubate in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Juliana worked in various positions within the building and construction industry throughout her five years of study at the university.
Her first position while attending the university was as an administrative intern for N&F Construtora e Incorporadora Ltda. in Taubate, Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company is engaged in the development of real estate projects and Juliana assisted in cash flow management and control, as well as payment processing for the firm. With experience in construction finance, Juliana broadened her knowledge of the industry by accepting a position as a purchase coordinator with the company. She became adept at purchasing operations including research of material suppliers, requests for quotations, price evaluations, analyses of ability to meet supply deadlines and delivery planning. By her second year at the university, and at the company, she was promoted to the position of Engineering assistant. In the two years she spent in this position she supervised construction projects. She also drafted projects in AutoCAD, verified the work of contractors and managed employee assignments. Using training she had acquired in ISO 9001, she also planned and monitored construction projects.
With her move from São Paulo to Bahia, in the northeast of Brazil, Juliana briefly took a position as an architecture assistant with Pamplona Garcia Arquitetura where she performed on-site measurements of construction projects and developed sketches in Revit as well as developing architectural, executive and detail projects in Revit.
Juliana went on to found her own construction business, Yamazaki Engenharia in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. In a four-year span Juliana grew company revenue to $8 million (in Brazilian currency) managing over 15 residential and commercial projects including a sports training center, a medical clinic, large offices, lounge-bar projects, as well as high-end residential construction projects.
Juliana brought her experience, talents and leadership to the TK Design & Associates team in April of 2024. She is fluent in both Portuguese and English.
