John Frankowski has had a varied design career, with his talents and passion always leading him toward new horizons and new experiences.
Working his way through college, John served as a warehouse specialist with Virginia Tile Company in Farmington Hills, Michigan, for three years. Virginia Tile operates 20 showrooms and distribution facilities in the Midwest and John was responsible for managing product samples and filling orders for those product samples. His talent with design and craftsmanship resulted in his building tile display boards for eight Virginia Tile showrooms.
In 2016, John graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Several months prior to graduating John accepted a position as designer with Creative Brick Landscape and Construction in Keego Harbor, Michigan. At Creative Brick John performed site surveys, worked with clients to determine their preferences and developed scope of work documents. He created 3D project models in Sketchup and assisted in developing project quotes.
John's next position found him at the Auto Club Group in Dearborn, Michigan, as a space planning assistant, where he collaborated with branch managers and building owners to create preliminary floor plans and furniture layouts for new branch offices and branch office redesigns. John left the Auto Club for a position as a designer with NORR in Detroit. NORR is a fully integrated architecture and engineering firm with a professional team of 800 architects, engineers, planners and interior designers with offices in Canada, the US and UK as well as the UAE. At NORR John performed site surveys and field reviews, conducted building and code research, and created technical documents.
In 2020, John founded Reflex Guitar in Royal Oak, where he designed and built guitar racks and pedalboards from the initial concept to completion, working with clients and artists on custom designs. In 2022, John brought his problem solving expertise and broad architectural and design experience to TK Design & Associates where he serves as a Revit Specialist.
