Ernesto Flores-Solorio attended Howell High School where he received his diploma in 2019. That year he was also awarded a prestigious second place in the regional Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society’s (MITE) computer-aided design (CAD) student project competition.
After graduating from high school, Ernesto attended Lansing Community College where he was enrolled in the Architecture Technology Program. The program includes curricula, courses, events and activities in an instructive learning environment designed and taught by field trained professionals, using the latest techniques and technologies available. The program is guided by a board of advisors who represent a diverse cross-section of practicing professionals throughout the field of architecture. While at LCC, Ernesto was named to the LCC President’s List. He graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in May 2024.
While attending college Ernesto worked as a barista at Biggby Coffee in Howell. He was promoted to shift lead where he modeled and coached employees in ensuring that Biggy’s operational systems were followed and that the business operated in a smooth and seamless fashion. This position required leadership, organization and attention to detail -- areas in which Ernesto excels. Combining these qualities with his expertise in AutoCAD, AutoDesk Revit, and hand drawing of architectural plans makes Ernesto a valuable asset to the TK Design & Associates team.
