Baxter Groves graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning in 2020. Prior to graduation, he was honored as a finalist in the Senior Design Studio Competition, which was part of the 2020 Raoul Wallenberg Symposium.
Baxter is highly skilled in Rhinoceros (Rhino) 3D computer aided design (CAD) software and is also experienced in other architectural software programs such as Revit, SketchUp and AutoCAD. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are also part of his technical skill set.
While studying to obtain his Architectural degree, Baxter worked first as a team member at Target in Dearborn Heights for a year and then joined Meijer as a team member at the Ypsilanti store. His leadership ability was quickly recognized at Meijer and he was promoted to Team Leader after just four months with the company. The store was undergoing a major remodel when Baxter was promoted and he was charged with overseeing and assisting with minor construction / deconstruction of store fixtures, coordination and storage of materials and products, and serving as liaison between his team members and the remodel coordinators.
In his free time Baxter enjoys pursuing other creative outlets including writing, art and designing board games. With his architectural knowledge, exceptional technical skills and customer relationship management experience, Baxter is a valuable asset to the TK Design & Associates team and to its clients.
