John Nguyen has a passion for making people’s lives easier by making experiences and things, like technology, more understandable and more user-friendly. In May 2023 he graduated from Michigan State University’s cutting edge Bachelor of Arts program in Experience Architecture. The program encompasses the art and science of designing and implementing experiences that engage people and create value. It is all about design and problem-solving.
As part of his degree program John worked with the Lansing Makers Network to expand their membership and increase event attendance by creating personas and designing wireframes for event posters. He also worked as a team to plan, research and strategize how TechSmith, an East Lansing, Michigan, company and an industry leader in visual communications, could redesign their Camtasia screen recording and video editing platform for better usability.
John’s previous work experiences have also been customer-experience focused. He has served as a youth leader for the Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement in Warren, Michigan since 2019 and has trained and supervised wait staff at Mama Satto in Ann Arbor.
John is fluent in both English and Vietnamese. With skills in Adobe Illustrator, Canva and Figma, combined with his formal education in Experience Architecture, John brings to his position at TK Design & Associates a solid understanding of how to make homes function to better meet the needs of today’s homeowners.
