Fernando has always been passionate about architecture and construction. He pursued his interests by taking woodworking and architecture classes and getting involved with Skills USA during high school. He also enrolled in the Bridges Construction & Renovation program, a partnership between the Green Bay Public Schools District and Habitat for Humanity. This program provides students with a hands-on learning experience in the construction and renovation industries while making a positive impact in the community. Fernando earned his Associate degree in Architectural Technology from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) in Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 2021. While attending college, he took on leadership roles in the NWTC Architectural Technology Club, first as secretary and then as vice president. During this time, he was responsible for arranging connections between club members and various area construction firms. He even organized a tour of the Resch Expo while it was still under construction, right across from Lambeau Field. After graduating, Fernando also received a technical diploma in Carpentry in 2022. Before graduating from NWTC, Fernando worked as a sales associate at a local shoe store and as a window installer with Shefchik Energy Services. He then interned at Baisch Engineering in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. In this role as a drafter, he assisted senior designers and engineers with construction documents. He used Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to create architectural, concrete, and structural steel details. Following that, he completed a second internship in residential framing at C & C Custom Builders in Green Bay. During this internship, he helped frame custom homes throughout northeast Wisconsin, gaining valuable on the field experience in residential construction. After his internships, Fernando took on the role of residential designer at Wisconsin Building Supply in Green Bay. He collaborated with local builders and clients to create construction documents for custom homes and spec houses. He utilized SoftPlan for design and engineered structural beams, headers, and joists using ForteWEB software. In 2023, Fernando relocated to Michigan and joined the TK Design & Associates team. He brings with him years of practical architectural experience and a comprehensive skill set in architectural software, making him a valuable asset to both the team and the firm’s clients.
