Jacob Farida had a passion for architecture at an age when most teenagers have no idea what they want to pursue as a lifelong career. As a student at Walled Lake Western High School, Jacob completed two years in Architectural Drafting. His work received regional and state recognition in each of those two years, garnering him 6 awards including second place awards in the regionals in 2013 and 2014, and a fifth place award in the state competition in 2013.
While still in high school Jacob worked on office renovations, removing and replacing carpeting, painting and assisting on electrical projects. He also assisted in interior and exterior home remodels and did landscaping and grounds keeping.
Upon graduation from high school, Jacob pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at Lawrence Technological University, from where he graduated in 2022. While pursuing his degree, Jacob worked as a parking attendant at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi for six years and also served as a designer and construction worker during 2021. In this position he designed floor plans for residential basements using Revit software. He also assisted in framing the floors using his floor plan designs and did painting and trim installation.
Skilled in Revit, Jacob also has expertise in AutoCAD and UltiMaker Cura for 3D printing. He brought his considerable Revit and architectural experience to TK Design & Associates in 2022.
