Flor Esthela Sosa-Lopez graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Universidad Autόnoma de Nuevo Leόn in Monterrey, Mexico. The university is the largest educational institution in Northern Mexico and its School of Architecture has served students for over 74 years.
Flor worked as a CAD Drafter with French Associates in Rochester, Michigan, for several years. French Associates is an award winning full-service architectural firm specializing in corporate, educational, government and healthcare projects. There Flor drew various architectural plans (lighting, flooring, site, etc.) for building remodeling as well as additions for educational institutions.
In addition to her Degree in Architecture, Flor has pursued additional professional development at Macomb Community College (MCC) where she completed all three levels of Architectural Design coursework. At MCC, Flor was part of a team tasked with designing a Passive Solar Home for an actual client. She also assisted in designing an office building and studied the elements and methods of urban planning and design, including infrastructure such as streets, bicycle and pedestrian trails, open spaces and other elements that provide the settings for community public life. While at MCC, Flor also completed coursework in the latest AutoCAD and Revit software.
Flor is an experienced AutoCAD specialist, having worked with the software for 9+ years. She is also proficient with Autodesk's Revit building information modeling software. Flor is also bi-lingual in both English and Spanish.
