Chance LaPratt is a Michigan native, having grown up in Houghton Lake, Michigan. There, Chance graduated with the highest honors and was valedictorian of his Houghton Lake High School class. Chance then headed to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Architecture & Entrepreneurship from the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. He is currently pursuing his Master of Architecture degree at Lawrence Technological University.
Chance has worked hard to improve his technical knowledge as well as his leadership skills. In addition to performing community outreach through his high school's national honor society, Chance was a member of the local Rotary Interact Club in Houghton Lake. Rotary Interact Clubs bring young people together to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of the Rotary's "Service Above Self" motto. While obtaining his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, chance served as superintendent of the Alpha Rho Chi (APX) fraternity at the university, a role he held for two years. APX is a century-old national fraternity for architecture and the allied arts.
Chance also employed his leadership skills in his internship work as a Quality Control Supervisor at Fiat Chrysler Automotive in Auburn Hills. While attending U of M, Chance worked for three years at the Media Center of the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and post-graduation worked for several months as a customer service associate at The Home Depot in Ann Arbor.
Chance joined TK Design & Associates in May 2021 and has served as a Revit specialist, and in his current position as a project manager, using his architectural design knowledge, his exceptional standards of customer service and his leadership ability to assist the team and clients of TK Design.
