Adam Dushane

Adam Dushane
Adam Dushane has a passion for soccer, as both a player and a coach. Adam coached high school girls' varsity soccer for several years, while also playing in an adult soccer league. Coaching and mentoring are just a few of the leadership qualities that Adam brought to TK Design & Associates when he joined the team in 2020. He also brought a solid understanding of architectural design and technical expertise in professional design automation tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD. Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2017. While earning his degree he studied abroad in Volterra, Italy, at the Volterra International Residential College. There, amid the glorious architecture of this medieval city, Adam expanded his cultural, art history and architectural knowledge. Upon graduation, Adam embarked on a Master of Science in Architecture, which he also received from the University of Detroit Mercy. Adam was fortunate to complete two architectural internships while working toward his master's degree. The first was at Faudie Architecture in Southfield, where he designed conceptual layouts and floor plans for corporate offices, working under project managers and the firm's principal to complete drawing sets and revisions. He also created 3D models for visual presentations. Adam's second internship was with Damian Farrell Design Group in Ann Arbor where he was again called upon to use his computer aided design and drafting software skills to develop 3D models and drawings for mostly residential builders and clients. He also worked with Damian Farrell to develop a large scale multi-family residence. After graduating with his master's in 2018, Adam took a position as an architectural designer with Adrian Design Group in Adrian, Michigan. The firm's focus areas are mainly in senior living, historic and adaptive use, commercial, educational, religious and recreational projects. There he created schematic designs and completed design developments and construction documentation. He also created 3D models in this position using SketchUp software. When Adam is not creating awesome models, he enjoys all sports that involve a body of water, hiking and traveling. It's a sure bet that when he's traveling he's also gaining ideas and insights to incorporate into his next project on returning home.
